"Every child really does matter"

Action Learning has been designed for those students who respond better to practical learning. We ask that students try everything that we offer to gain as many skills as possible. We also like them to try different skills as they may discover they really good at a subject that they never knew!  We can also tailor make packages to suit your childs needs, focusing not on solely the practical subjects but also important lifeskills.

At Action Learning we encourage you as parents to get involved with your childs education.  We welcome parents to come down to to our project and bridge the gap between school and home. We offer open days throughout the year and "Bring a Parent to Action Learning for a day." At the end of the school year we also have an achievement BBQ.

What do they need to bring?:

  • Clothing -  Overalls and steel toe cap boots are compulsory here at Action Learning. This saves clothes getting ruined! Each student has their own pair of overalls, which are washed and kept here at the farm as well as their own pair of boots. This makes up part of their PPE kit.
  • Pocket money - children are welcome to bring money for snacks.  Please note that water is provided.
  • Lunch - please provide your child with a packed lunch or money for lunch.  We do not have an on-site cafe and therefore if your child needs to buy there lunch we would ask they do so in advance.
